The San Mateo County Fire Department Training and EMS is responsible for developing, instructing, and coordinating recurrent and mandated training for all personnel, including emergency medical services and the paramedic program oversight. The Training Division utilizes different training aids to accomplish its mission. The Training/EMS Office oversees training and EMS requirements for both full-time career personnel as well as all three volunteer fire companies. San Mateo County Fire Department Training and EMS office is staffed by a Battalion Chief and a Fire Captain.
